Roman Baths

This is the Great Bath at the roman baths complex at Bath in England. The town was known as Aquae Sulis to the Romans.

The spring water was decidedly hot to the touch and I would not want to get straight into it, but could perhaps work up to it progressively (which is what I believe the Romans did).

The room is open to the sky and it was quite a cold day, hence the steamy appearance.
